Restore Atlanta takes a non-traditional approach to helping low-level offenders by using alternative sentencing methods. The goal is to reduce the rate of recidivism, while simultaneously providing defendants with education, services and treatment that help them live a more productive life and maintain a clean record.
Teens Learning Control (TLC)
The TLC program offers traffic offenders between the ages of 17 and 25 an opportunity to learn more about the Georgia traffic laws, improve individual driving skills, understand the consequences of their actions and enhance their decision-making process.
Restorative Justice
The Restorative Justice program offers individuals under the age of 25 without any prior felony convictions, an opportunity to resolve their case by engaging in community service and taking courses designed to increase their ability to make healthier choices.
Restorative Justice- Clinical Division
The Restorative Justice Clinical Division is an alternative sentencing program that provides the defendant an opportunity to address mental health and substance abuse challenges with the assistance of a psychological specialist or treatment provider.
Homeless Court Program
The Homeless Court Program assists homeless individuals with resolving minor offenses by participating in programming, treatment, stabilization and rehabilitation

Teen Victim Impact Program: The TVIP program was designed with two goals in mind. To get rid of the mindset “It won’t happen to me” and to instill the importance of seat belt use. To register visit tvip.org or contact Mr. Bill Richardson at 770-289-8598. Cost $50 (1.5hrs).
MADD Victim Impact Panel: The victim impact panel is one of MADD’s most widely recognized programs. This panel gives victims/survivors of drunk driving crashed an opportunity to share their stories with offenders. MADD panels aim to prevent underage drinking, change attitudes and behaviors and reduce impaired driving recidivism rates. You will be asked to leave and forfeit your fee if you eat, drink, sleep, talk etc. during the session. Defensive Driving Course (Module III participants only): Must take a state certified 6-8 hour course. For more information about the state certified driver improvement clinic, visit The Department of Driver Services’ website www.dds.ga.gov. Offered online.

Your Restore Atlanta Specialist will advise you if you are not required to appear in court. If you are unsure, contact your Restore Atlanta Specialist.
Yes. If you have not completed all the requirements and your Specialist has not told you not to appear, then you must appear at your compliance hearing.
You may complete your hours at the Municipal Court of Atlanta or any 501c3 non-profit agency. Advise your Restore Atlanta Specialist that you would like to complete your hours at MCA and they will have the Community Service Coordinator contact you to make arrangements. (Follow-up)
Your contact at the 501c3 agency of choice must provide your hours on the organization’s letterhead and sign the document. That letter should then be submitted in person or by e-mail to your Restorative Justice Specialist.

Extensions are at the discretion of the Judge and are only issued for extreme circumstances.
Any license reinstatement is within the sole discretion of the judge. Please note that certain offenses result in automatic license suspension, as required by law. For details on those offenses, contact the Solicitor’s Office.
No, the citation will be dismissed upon completion of all program requirements.
No, individuals will only be allowed to participate in the program one time.
